The cost of borrowing something from us depends on 3 Things:

1. What you're Borrowing
2. How Many Days you want to Borrow for
3. What Membership you have with the Thingery.

• Borrowing rates are listed on our website per day - these rates are correct if you want to borrow something from us for 1 day. 

• Some things are included in your membership, and you don't pay anything other than your membership fee to borrow any of the Things included in membership. You can borrow those Things for free as a member of the Thingery.

• If you have a concession membership, you'll get a 75% discount on day borrowing charges. If you have a Supporter (Plus or Premium) membership, you'll get a 25% discount on day borrowing rates.

• If you want to borrow something for more than one day, we often reduce the borrowing fee to make it attractive to still borrow rather than buy the Things in our library - depending on the value of the item, our day borrowing rate and how long you want to borrow it for.  Contact us for cost details for specific items.  

There are many things that need doing to run the Thingery - listing all the different prices on our website for each item for borrowing for more than one day is one of the outstanding tasks. If you want to volunteer your time to do any of the outstanding tasks, do get in touch. Ilkley Thingery is a not-for-profit community project. We need volunteers to do the work needed to run this enterprise and open more frequently.
